Biography
Stéphanie handles the full spectrum of commercial disputes, namely contract negotiations and conflicts, business-to-business litigation, corporate disagreements and the resolution of commercial claims. She approaches every case with the precision of a seasoned litigator and the strategic insight of a trusted business counsel.
Over the course of the last years, Stéphanie developed a specialization in equine law. She advises clients across the entire equine sector, from elite sport rides and competitive stables to breeders, traders and equine businesses, on matters including the sale and purchase of horses, breeding contracts, and resolution of conflicts that are unique to the horse world.
Whether you are a business in dispute, an entrepreneur navigating a commercial conflict, or a rider, breeder or stable with a legal challenge, Stéphanie brings the same qualities to every matter: precision, strategic thinking and a relentless commitment to the best possible outcome.
After earning her Master of Laws degree from the University of Antwerp, Stéphanie moved to New York, where she obtained an LL.M. from Fordham University. During her studies, she also completed internships at the renowned firms Hand, Baldachin & Associates LLP and TED Conferences (known for the TED Talks), where she learned the importance of striking the right balance between legal and commercial considerations in practice.
Following her admission to the Antwerp Bar in January 2019, she worked at two Antwerp law firms, focusing on dispute resolution and broadening her interests to national and international asset protection and planning. Building on this, she completed the International Management of Family Wealth course at the University of Monaco, held in collaboration with STEP.
To maintain and develop her international network, she joined AIJA (https://www.aija.org) and the International Bar Association (https://www.ibanet.org/). She is also a member of STEP (https://www.step.org/) and may carry the title 'TEP' (Trust and Estate Practitioner). She regularly attends alumni events at her alma mater, Fordham Law School.
